Product Description
Corrosion Resistant CuNi Heating Element Wire Copper Nickel Wire For Furnace Heat
Features:
  • Extremely Low Temperature Coefficient of Resistance
  • Wide Operating Temperature Range
  • Excellent Solderability & Weldability
  • Stable Medium Resistivity
Description:

This copper‑nickel wire, produced in various Ni grades, features a very low thermal coefficient of resistance, ensuring minimal drift. It demonstrates outstanding resistance to localized corrosion. Tensile strength and elongation are carefully balanced through controlled drawing. The surface is bright and free from oxidation. Strict roundness and straightness tolerances are maintained, while the alloy’s homogeneous composition prevents property variations.

Applications
  • Precision Resistors: Wire‑wound precision resistors, shunts, potentiometers, and current sensing elements requiring stable resistance over temperature.
  • Thermocouples: Type T (Copper‑Constantan, –200°C to +350°C), Type J (Iron‑Constantan), and Type E (Chromel‑Constantan) for industrial temperature measurement.
  • Strain Gauges: Constantan is the standard grid material for bonded resistance strain gauges due to its high strain sensitivity and low temperature sensitivity.
  • Motor & Industrial Controls: Industrial starting resistors, speed controllers, load banks, and braking resistors for elevators and cranes.
  • Heating Elements: Low‑to‑medium temperature industrial furnaces, floor heating cables, and heating tapes (max 400°C).
  • Research & Laboratory: Standard resistors, low‑temperature sensors, cryogenic thermometry, and calibration equipment.
  • Aerospace & Automotive: Engine exhaust temperature sensors (thermocouples), pressure sensors, and strain sensors in corrosive environments.
