Constantan is a copper‑nickel alloy (approximately 55% Cu, 45% Ni) known for its uniquely stable electrical resistivity over a wide temperature range. Unlike most metals whose resistance changes significantly with temperature, Constantan maintains near‑constant resistance from –200°C to +400°C, making it the material of choice for precision resistors, strain gauges, and thermocouple extension wires.

- Precision Resistors: Wire‑wound precision resistors, shunts, potentiometers, and current sensing elements requiring stable resistance over temperature.
- Thermocouples: Type T (Copper‑Constantan, –200°C to +350°C), Type J (Iron‑Constantan), and Type E (Chromel‑Constantan) for industrial temperature measurement.
- Strain Gauges: Constantan is the standard grid material for bonded resistance strain gauges due to its high strain sensitivity and low temperature sensitivity.
- Motor & Industrial Controls: Industrial starting resistors, speed controllers, load banks, and braking resistors for elevators and cranes.
- Heating Elements: Low‑to‑medium temperature industrial furnaces, floor heating cables, and heating tapes (max 400°C).
- Research & Laboratory: Standard resistors, low‑temperature sensors, cryogenic thermometry, and calibration equipment.
- Aerospace & Automotive: Engine exhaust temperature sensors (thermocouples), pressure sensors, and strain sensors in corrosive environments.

Q1: Can I get a sample of CuNi Costantan micro wire before bulk order?
A: Yes, free samples are available upon request. You only pay shipping.
Q2: What is the lead time for this CuNi Costantan wire?
A: Samples ready in 2–3 days. Mass production takes 7–20 working days depending on your quantity.
Q3: Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: MOQ is 5 kgs.
Q4: How do you prevent the wire from tangling or breaking during shipping?
A: We wind it carefully on anti-static plastic spools with plastic box protection. Each spool is inspected under magnification before packing.
Q5: Do you offer guarantee for CuNi Costantan products?
A: Yes, we offer a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. We also provide a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) and Mill Test Report (MTR) for each batch.
Q6: How to deal with faulty wire (e.g., breakage or diameter out of tolerance)?
A: First, our wire is inspected and tested for continuity before packing; defect rate is below 0.5%. Second, during the warranty period, we will replace the faulty length on your next order. For large batch issues, we will re-spool a new coil at no cost or discuss a partial refund based on actual test results.
